Dinner Planner – Week of March 9th, 2020

I figure you might need a dinner planner more than ever right now!  Many people I have talked to are limiting travel, going out to restaurants and events with large numbers of people.  Let’s cook at home!

For my online cooking class students, I am going live on our private FB page tomorrow (Saturday) at 9:45 am PST and I promise to discuss boosting your immune system, among other hot topics!

Dinner Planner – Week of March 2nd, 2020

March already!!  My mother has been visiting me this week and I told her, “you’re almost out of the woods!”  Which means, winter is almost over for those who have a winter.  It’s an East Coast thing, I guess.  She said, “don’t jinx it!”  She’s quite right since there have been plenty of snowstorms in March and April.  But I don’t believe I will jinx anything by starting to incorporate some lovely spring foods like leeks, peas, strawberries and asparagus.  They come into season at this time of year no matter what.

Later this week I will attend the largest natural foods show in the country called Expo West.  I’ve skipped it the last couple years, but I’ll be there on Thursday and possibly Friday.  Watch my Instagram stories to see what’s new and exciting in the world of packaged health food! 😉

Dinner Planner – Week of February 24th, 2020

This week is the beginning of Lent.  My mother used to make us give up something for the 40 days of Lent.  We thought we were funny by saying we’d give up liver (ugh, she actually made it!) or boiled Brussels sprouts. After a lot of back and forth, my mother would ask us to give up bickering with each other.  Ha!  Fridays during Lent, I will post a fish or vegetarian/dish.

On another note, I have done an Instagram Live the past few Mondays at 5:00 pm PST.  I think that is a good time, so join me if you’re free.  We have a lot of fun!  Here’s your dinner planner for the week:Continue reading

Dinner Planner – Week of February 17th, 2020

It’s Modernism Week in Palm Springs – my husband’s favorite week of the year.  So Mr. Picky and I are accompanying him for the long weekend.  My son has been going to house tours, lectures, and vintage shopping with us in the desert for the past 6 years.  He’s such a trooper.  The weather seems to be good this weekend, so we’ll have a great time, I’m sure.

Online cooking class students, your class has been uploaded if you didn’t see the email or Facebook post.  I’ve been getting photos already of chocolate-hazelnut cookies and cod “acqua pazza.”  Love, love, love it all!

Valentine’s Day just happened and although I usually (when we’re in town) make a nice meal for my family, it’s just a silly day, in my opinion.  Every day should be about love – love for each other and ourselves.  Decisions made from a place of love result in better actions.  Here’s your dinner planner for the week:Continue reading

Dinner Planner – Week of February 10th, 2020

Hello, hello!!  I hope you are all doing well and staying healthy.  This has been a ROUGH winter so far!!  Some administrative business first – my online cooking class students – I am doing our monthly Facebook LIVE Saturday, February 8th at 9:30 am PST/12:30 pm EST.  I’ll be in my sweats with no makeup and a matcha latte, so come as you are 😉 !  I just filmed the February class and it is GREAT!  There’s so much good info that you can apply to your everyday cooking and help you on your journey to your healthiest self.  I can’t wait for you to see it.  The goal is for my team to upload it Tuesday night!

For those of you in LA interested in in-person classes, click here for more information.  I have a couple spots left in a class on Tuesday, February 11th at 10:30 am in the South Bay.  Email Erika for more information.  pamelasassistant@gmail.com All other classes in February are sold out.

I am looking forward to heading out to Palm Springs next weekend for Modernism Week.  Anyone else going??  I think it’s going to be a bit chilly, but it’s always healthy (literally) to have a change of air!  Here is your dinner planner for the week:Continue reading

Dinner Planner – Week of February 3rd, 2020

Happy Weekend!  I have just started working on booking locations and dates for my book tour.  What I’d really, really love most of all is to meet you!  Please let me know where you are and I’ll see if I can stop in your town.  Email me if you’d like to invite me to speak at your school or community center.  If you think you can get a large enough group, I can probably make the trip and arrange a local bookseller to come join me!  pamelasalzman@gmail.com

In the meantime, Happy Super Bowl!

Dinner Planner – Week of January 27th, 2020

I had a long but great week!  Something that I will share with you and only you since you are reading this is that I just filmed a few on-demand classes for the Food Network Kitchen App!!  I mean, talk about a dream come true!  Teaching healthy recipes is my bread and butter, so to speak.  It’s where my heart and soul is and what I am best at.  So it was a total joy to be able to teach a few of my recipes from my first cookbook with the pros from the Food Network. I will let you know when they go live on the app!

The Super Bowl is coming next Sunday, so don’t forget to buy your avocados early!  I like to buy them rock hard and allow them to ripen on my countertop.  Once they are perfect, stick them in the fridge until you’re ready to use them.  Here’s your dinner planner for the week:Continue reading

Dinner Planner – Week of January 20th, 2020

Eeeek!  My older daughter came home on Friday night for a visit this weekend and I completely forgot to press send on the dinner planner!  So sorry!

I had a great week this week.  I am feeling better every day although that cough will come back between 8-10 pm every night if I talk too much.  I will be updating my old post about home remedies when you’re sick because so many people message me all day every day about what worked for me and I really want to help more people.  These viruses this year are NO JOKE!  I was on Home and Family on Tuesday morning, taught a great cooking class, shot a ton of recipes for the blog and now will take the weekend to rest.  Going forward, I am not going to be working on my computer every chance I get.  I want to respect my body and mind and be present for my family and friends.  So far, so good.  🙂  Lastly, MY NEW COOKBOOK, “QUICKER THAN QUICK” IS AVAILABLE FOR PREORDER ON AMAZON!!! I will be posting a separate blogpost with more details. But in the meantime, check it out and if you love my first book, would you do me the hugest favor and write a review?  It will help my new book get more visibility.  Thanks a million!
