I’ve had the best week on Long Island with my family, as usual. Â Even though I love LA, East Coast summers are my favorite. Â I’m heading back home and back to reality. Â It’s time for me to get cracking on lots of work that I have allowed to pile up. Â I’m not mad about it. Â It means I allowed myself to have a vacation :). Â Here’s your dinner planner for this week:
Dinner Planner – Week of July 30th, 2018
Many of you follow me on social media and know that I am on Long Island for my annual summer vacation at my parents’ house. Â I put together a dinner planner for you guys per usual, but I’ll be cooking up some other recipes for all of us this week. Â My sisters and I will cook together for 15 people on most days and even more people when we have other family members come for a visit. Â Friday night I made chicken shawarma from my book with rice, tomato and cucumber salad, and pickled onions. Â Really easy and a family favorite. Â My niece helped me make 16 frozen chocolate-covered bananas which I’ll pull out when everyone wants a treat. Other things I’ll make that have been successful in the past are lunch boards, nachos, turkey meatloaf, a clam boil (coming to next month’s online cooking class), pizza night (my parents have a wood-burning pizza oven), pasta with pesto, loads of salads, baked salmon or cod, souvlaki skewers, chicken paillard with Greek salad, and lots of grilled veggies, to name a few.
Just follow along on Instagram stories to see it all go down! Â Here’s your dinner planner for the week:Continue reading
Dinner Planner – Week of July 23rd, 2018
My son (aka Mr. Picky) has been away for 4 weeks and I am going to pick him up this week. Â I cannot WAIT to see him!! Â I miss him and all his pickiness so much. Â I will not be following this dinner planner since I’ll be traveling, but I am starting to plan for the week I spend with my parents and my sisters and their families. Â I am very glad that I started taking notes the last few visits so I can remind myself what meals were great and which ones don’t need to be repeated. Â So excited!! Â Here’s your dinner planner for the week:
Dinner Planner – Week of July 16th, 2018
If you subscribe to my online classes, I am doing a Facebook Live on the private Facebook page Saturday, July 14th at 9:00 am PT/12:00 pm ET.  We can watch the end of the World Cup consolation match together!  Just kidding.  Bring your questions and your cooking experiences! I love doing these sessions with you guys.  I am getting organized for a busy week ahead, including the celebration of my husband’s grandmother’s 103rd birthday.  Can you believe?  She’s amazing.  I’ll post some Instagram stories with her on Tuesday.  🙂

Dinner Planner – Week of July 9, 2018
I hope you all had a lovely holiday week! I had a successful week filming my three vegan online cooking courses with Plant Lab. Those will be available through Plant Lab’s platform this September. On July 23rd, Clean Eating Magazine is relaunching the Batch Cooking 101 course I filmed for them. You can get more information for that here. They are offering my blog subscribers a discount of $50 off the course with this code: PSALZMAN50
In the meantime, here is a great summer dinner planner for the coming week!
Dinner Planner – Week of July 2, 2018
It’s great that July 4th falls in the middle of the week if your office gives you the whole week off.  But kind of a bummer if they don’t.  I’m in the latter camp since I’ll be shooting all week for Plant Lab and taking off just for July 4th.  No 3-day weekend for me!  I’m filming three vegan cooking courses for their online platform and they’ll be available by September.  And, I’m still continuing shooting my own online classes which you can access here. 🙂
In the meantime, I hope you have a great holiday! Â Here’s your dinner planner for the week:

Dinner Planner – Week of June 25th 2018
AH, the beginning of summer! Â I don’t really even have big plans this summer, but I am thrilled to have a more relaxed schedule. Â Most of all, no making school lunches! I cook more simply in the summer and I take full advantage of the great produce which has a short window (I see you, tomatoes.) Â I still write a dinner planner every weekend no matter what. Â It’s my routine and I couldn’t live without it. Â Here’s your dinner planner for the week:Continue reading
Dinner Planner – Week of June 18, 2018
I know many of you started your summer last week or even several weeks ago, but my youngest was still in school up until this past Wednesday.  So we are just easing into summer right now and it feels GOOD!  I have all the kids home for the next week and then they go in different directions at different times.  Sigh.  I’ll make the most of it. 🙂
Lest I forget to wish all the dads out there a Happy Father’s Day, including my own amazing father and husband. Â Thank you to all of you dads who are incredible role models for our children, and who help support raising them to be independent, kind, and meaningful contributors to our world. Â I hope you enjoy the day and have the opportunity to spend it with the ones you love.
