Happy weekend and happy summer solstice!ย Friday, June 20ย marks/marked the longest day of the year – a seasonal pivot celebrated in traditions likeย Ayurvedaย andย Traditional Chinese Medicine. It’s a time of peak energy, vibrant growth, and warmth – but also a reminder to seek balance. That might look like hydrating foods, slower evenings, barefoot dinners outside, and space for joy and ease.

For online cooking class students: our next Live Office Hour is this Wednesday, June 25 at 12:30 pm PTโ€”a little later than usual. Keep an eye out for the Zoom invite in your inbox! I also shared trip highlights from Charleston and additional recs in this weekโ€™s Substack newsletterโ€”donโ€™t miss it.

This weekโ€™s dinners are light, doable, and made for summer rhythmsโ€”so you can cook well, eat well, and still have time for a sunset stroll or a slice of stone fruit on the porch.

Hereโ€™s your dinner planner for the week:
Meatless Monday: Sweet Potato Couscous Sunshine Bowls from Delish

Tuesday: Easy Pasta al Limone with grilled shrimp and a simple green side salad with everyday salad dressing #1

Wednesday: Grilled Fish Tacos, Jicama Slaw, Mexican Black Beans

Thursday: Mediterranean turkey and zucchini burgers + Grilled Vegetables with Lemon-Basil Dressing

Friday: Summer Orzo Salad with flank steak (or choice of protein)

Saturday brunch: Savory Muffins with Spinach, Roasted Peppers and Feta
