I had this slow cooker for years with consistently good results. I especially love the fact that the insert is ceramic and not non-stick! I use it for slow cooking, making beans, oatmeal and even to keep things warm on the “warm” setting. I highly recommend this one!

Pamela,
I love your website and trust your research. I am in the market for a new slow cooker. I have All Clad pots and pans and love them. As I’ve been researching slow cookers, I saw a warning for one (not this one) that said the ceramic insert was painted with a glaze that contained led and would leach during cooking. My current slow cooker is on the counter making stock constantly starting at this time of year and it made me worry a little that when I’m letting the stock go 12-24 hours on low, lead may be leaching into what is supposed to be a nutritious broth for my family. Ummm…no. Do you know anything about the glaze used on this slow cooker? Thanks so much.
Truly, the only 100% clean slow cookers are the ones with clay inserts. You can google those to see what I mean. The ceramic inserts are controversial because of the lead like you mentioned. But there have been studies that have shown that no lead leaches into the food, so I don’t know what to say. I think you should contact All-Clad customer service and ask them everything you want to know.
